Kristy shot this wedding at The Prado, and I LOVE it. Her artistic style was a perfect match for John and Christy, who were SO sweet. I love Christy's blue dress, wow! And take a look at the Red Cheese photo booth. I had to put a bunch of photos in from it, I thought they were very cool. Hope we see more of these. Also, you can see some of my texture overlays on some of these photos. I love the rich, antique feel.

Haydee's Creative Florals - Aquario Studio - San Diego Wedding Photography
These gorgeous floral arrangements were very generously provided by Haydee's Creative Florals for our Bridal Bazaar booth. We asked he for something unusual and stunning, and we got it! LOVE it Haydee! Thanks again. Brides, definitely check her out. She does beautiful work!

Lindsay + Jake's Paradise Point Engagement Session - Aquario Studio - San Diego Wedding Photography
Lindsay and Jake flew out from Texas for the Fourth of July weekend. We made these images at Paradise Point Resort in Mission Bay, early in the morning while we could still park! We rented a bike, and John brought one of his skateboards too. They were up for it all, and Lindsey wore a stunning red dress as you can see. Wow! Turns out they have both worked as models . . you can really tell, they know how its done.

Jennifer+John's Coronado Engagement Session - Aquario Studio - San Diego Wedding Photography
Jennifer and John also flew out from Texas for their engagement session. I guess Texans love to have destination weddings in San Diego! (Theirs will be in March, put together by Stacie Barba's talented team at A Day of Elegance). And why not?! It was another perfect day at the Hotel Del Coronado. Another extremely photogenic couple (are we blessed or what?), and I really had fun with my 'textures' afterward. I use various Photoshop overlays to make the right images even richer and deeper. You can also see a couple of images John shot with the infrared camera. This is a pretty cool thing: a digital Canon camera that John had converted into an infrared camera. In case you aren't familiar with the concept, it registers light in a spectrum we can't perceive. Kind of like Hawk-Vision. It can do some very weird things, like it turns tuxedos into mariachi clown-suits. Have to do a little retouching there...but with a little TLC, I find the right image to produce an amazing work of art.

Katie+Brent's Little Italy Engagement Session- Aquario Studio - San Diego Wedding Photography
Katie and Brent live in a loft in Little Italy, so naturally we did their engagement session there. Its a fun area to shoot in with an ever-changing urban landscape. Kinda makes me want a cappuccino...

Lauren+James's Ocean Beach Engagement Session - Aquario Studio - San Diego Wedding Photography
A lot of you know Lauren as our studio manager. You may not know that she's also getting married in September! And yes, we're doing her photography. Here are some photos from their Ocean Beach engagement session. They are a really fun couple with lots of ideas. James lives in Ocean Beach, and Lauren just graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University, so they know and love the area. Great spot!

Erin + Carl @ The Hotel Del Coronado - Aquario Studio - San Diego Wedding Photography
Well, as usual, the Hotel del Coronado is just a stunning backdrop for the most elegant of weddings. The styling by Stacie Barba at a Day of Elegance is gracious and simple, perfect for the light, breezy day. The deep love and emotion by this lovely couple provided so many great photos. A perfect wedding put together by one of San Diego's best consultants for two people who couldn't deserve it more. Cheers to you!
