Kristy's Downtown Engagement Session with Laura + Ralph
Here is Kristy's latest engagement session. Laura and Ralph will be moving away in a few short months, so they wanted their engagement photos to capture their time in San Diego. Says Kristy, "I loved shooting urban photos in San Diego-a nice change of scenery from the more common beach photos. We just wandered around the city, hopping trains (okay, the trolley) and going with the flow and we stumbled upon some great locations that were better than I could have ever asked for." Love it!

Our New Finao Albums! - Aquario Studio Photography San Diego
Finally! Our first album from the new company has arrived! This one belongs to Lauren and James, they were our guinea pigs, thank you very much!!! And I'm happy to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. These albums are very contemporary, lighter than the old ponderous traditional albums we still show in the studio. And they come with a zillion different choices for cover materials, including a huge variety of beautiful leathers, metal, metallic canvas, smoky 'glass', a variety of 'lizards, 'ostriches', even 'zebra' 'leopard', 'tiger' and 'pony'. (not the real thing of course). This one is Biker Chic with an Ipanema spine. I think the image window looks great. The leathers are very high quality, soft and deep, and I LOVE the rounded spine, wow! Thank you Lauren and James! I wish I could hold onto this one until our samples arrive, but not for another month. I can't wait!!!

Vagabond Music Video Shoot - Aquario Studio Photography in San Diego
And now for something COMPLETELY different. Last weekend John went out to the Mojave to do the still photography for a music video for an up and coming London band called the Vagabonds. He left at 5am and got back at 2am...there was snow on the ground, and a half naked model that had to roll around on the icy sand at midnight. The shots are very cool though, had to share. Of course, I could not resist adding some funky textures.
