Well, its that brief time of year when things get quiet and we stew in our creative juices! My favorite time of year. We use February and March to get all our new ideas and images into fresh sample albums. This one is especially exciting to me. Farinaz and Paymon were married in May at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, and John took them over to Balboa Park for an exquisitely romantic session. Their wedding was just a gorgeous Persian affair, with tons of rich deep colors. Yes, this is the same one featured in Ceremony magazine, with Laura Rizzo coordinating and Ana Aftahi from Floral Works doing the flowers etc ("etcetera" in this case being crazy amazing). I just HAD to play that up for this sample, so you'll see some rather over-the-top background color and texture treatments. But I LOVE it!! I pulled out all the stops for the cover as well. This is a 12x18 album (yes, you heard right, this is a BIG one), with Finao Armour and Bohemian leather. the Armour is actually a black and white photo engraved into a sheet of metal, and the Bohemian leather is a very deep reptile-like leather. It was killing me waiting for it to arrive!

Guest Sign-In Book - Aquario Studio San Diego Wedding Photography
Another long-awaited album that I just could not resist posting some images from. You can tell I'm getting crazy with the wallpapers. These are images from our new Guest-Sign-In Book. These are gorgeous. I chose Lionsgate brocade for this 10x10 album, with black sign-in pages alternating with the photo pages (which measure 10x10 edge-to-edge). They feature a square 3x3 cover window, which could be your names and the date, or a photo of yourselves from your engagement session. This one just has our logo and wallpaper. I love the black pages, signed with silver ink, they just pop. Once again, I printed this one with the pearlescent linen embossed paper for a truly amazing tactile and visual feast. These albums are $350 (actually $315 after the 10% Early Order discount). And by the way, every design is custom, so if wallpaper is not your thing, NOT A PROBLEM!
Weddings San Diego feature - Aquario Studio San Diego Wedding Photography
Here is a feature that just came out in Weddings San Diego. Stacy and Joseph are such a great looking couple, with great chemistry. It was funny the feature came out the same day I finishing putting together our "Red Book" which stars none other than Stacy and Joseph! I think I'll post some photos from that book as well.

The Redbook - Aquario Studio San Diego Wedding Photography
Okay, here is the long-awaited RedBook featuring Stacy and Joseph! Wow, it is RED. Sizzlin' red. The album itself is an 8x8 Silkbook in Lady Danger brocade. The pages are black. The photos are 8x8, edge to edge. I am in love with the deep red wallpaper, and I used plenty of texture overlays over most of these photos to add depth and richness. The pages are printed on pearlescent paper with a linen embossed texture over the whole page. WOW! If I do say so myself. These are just $500, (actually only $450 after the 10% 'Early Order' discount if you purchase before your wedding). There is an extra charge for the pearlescent linen paper. SO worth it.
